ANCHORAGE - The ALEUTIAN PRIBILOF ISLANDS ASSOCIATION TRADITIONAL FOODS
PROGRAM is offering a two-day training in Anchorage from October
18-19. The workshop will be held at the Anchorage Mariott Hotel downtown
in conjunction with IGAP training. This 2-day training will address
questions many communities have about traditional food safety and will
review a community-based research process that communities and
organizations can use to address these concerns. The process covered in
this workshop includes human biomonitoring, dietary surveys, sampling,
analysis, interpretation, identifying benefits and risks, and effective
communication and education. This workshop will provide participants
with the tools necessary to develop a community-based process to
evaluate the safety of their local foods.

The workshop is free, however, participants must cover their own travel
and per diem. For more information and to register, please contact Sue
Unger sueu at apiai.org <mailto:sueu at apiai.org> or at 1-800-478-2742.

*Note that registration is limited to 15 participants. Please register
