The UAA Summer Engineering Academies is now seeking applicants for our team
of Assistant Instructors. Students from all fields of engineering are
encouraged to apply.

The Academies are a series of week-long summer camps that aim to increase
interest in STEM through fun and hands-on activities in a wide variety of
engineering topics, including robotics, structures, aerodynamics,
corrosion, and coding. Most Lead Instructors are UAA faculty, making this a
great opportunity to develop a working relationship with your professors.

Thorough training is provided in all subject areas and in working with
minors, so you do not need to be an expert to do this job. Applicants
should:

   - be competent in math and science,
   - enjoy teaching and working with young people,
   - be creative and energetic,
   - possess communication and teamwork skills, and
   - show initiative and a willingness to learn.

The job begins in mid-May and ends in early August. The pay is $11.50/hour
and the job requires 35-40 hours/week. The deadline to apply is March 31st
or until all 7 positions are filled. Please submit resumes or send
questions to Joe Selmont at jselmon1 at alaska.edu.
